REFLECTIONS:
Experience:
Time flies. In the blink of an eye, 14 weeks are almost over. Learning typography in depth is a satisfying journey. This semester's tasks are more challenging and complex than last semester's. The flexibility of the task allows us to be more experimental. At the same time, we work harder to plan projects and complete them within our time. In addition, I am very grateful to the lecturers for their constructive feedback and words of encouragement. Sometimes, I get frustrated when the results don't live up to my expectations. With the help of the advice of instructors and peers, I can identify areas for improvement from a third-person perspective. However, Mr. Vinod has always believed that we should evaluate our work more sensitively and independently, and I think I need to further improve the "designer perspective". To be honest, it was a difficult semester, but with regular self-discipline and motivation, it can still be handled.
Observe:
I observed that the schedule and topic of this mission differed slightly from the MIB. However, the instructors did make appropriate adjustments based on our batch progress, which is a good sign. For content, instead of telling us directly what to do, it gives us space to explore and choose topics we like. This is a great opportunity to define our style and discover which field we are more interested in in the future (exp: Mission 2 Key Arts and Accessories). My favorite part of accomplishing this task is that it can be challenging to start from scratch. However, I think it's a great opportunity for us to do some projects that we can apply to real life.
Found:
Time management is a valuable experience this semester because the project tasks are heavier than the previous semester. We need to independently track our progress while improving the design section. Also, it's time to stop relying too heavily on instructor feedback. Instead, we need to apply critical thinking skills to analyze the work we do. Pay attention to the design industry around you, and read more design topics. This helps us to constantly upgrade ourselves and stay up to date with the latest trends.
